Raja Warring Labels AAP and BJP as “Two Sides of the Same Coin” at ‘Save Constitution’ Rally in Punjab

Chandigarh, Gourav Kumar: Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a powerful address at the ‘Save Constitution’ rally held in Chandigarh. He alleged that both AAP and BJP are systematically undermining the Indian Constitution, calling them “two sides of the same coin.”

BJP Accused of Undermining Constitutional Institutions

Warring criticized the BJP for allegedly misusing constitutional bodies to suppress political opposition. He claimed that the RSS and BJP have never respected the Indian Constitution, asserting that they neither accepted nor recognized its authority.

“The BJP’s desire to alter the Constitution stems from their fundamental opposition to it,” he said. “However, the people of India have seen through their agenda, which is evident in the BJP being reduced to 240 seats in the recent elections.”

Congress the True Guardian of the Constitution, Says Warring

Reaffirming the Congress party’s commitment, Warring stated that the Indian National Congress is the only party that truly believes in and upholds the Constitution. He emphasized inclusivity, stating that India belongs to every citizen, regardless of caste, creed, or religion.

“The Congress will never allow the BJP to damage the foundational principles of the Constitution,” Warring assured the gathering.

AAP Government Under Fire for Power Misuse in Punjab

Turning his attention to the state leadership, Raja Warring accused the AAP-led Punjab government of misusing power to target and intimidate political adversaries. He condemned the government’s handling of peacefully protesting farmers, stating that even democratic dissent is being crushed.

Law and Order Situation in Punjab Alarming: Warring

Expressing serious concern, Warring highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab under the AAP administration. “People are no longer feeling safe in their own state,” he said.

“In Punjab, we are suffering a double blow. While BJP governs at the Centre, the AAP government here is mimicking the same autocratic style. There is no rule of law left—only the rule of power. It is a textbook case of ‘Might is Right’,” he asserted.

Senior Congress Leaders Join the Rally

The rally witnessed the presence and support of other senior Congress leaders, including CLP leader Partap Singh Bajwa and AICC General Secretary Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, who addressed a similar gathering at Dera Baba Nanak. Also in attendance were PCC General Secretary (Organisation) Capt. Sandeep Sandhu, Kulbir Singh Zira, and other prominent leaders.
